You first need to rescue an animal. Once this is done, the animal will be waiting in your nursery until its home is built. To build a home, tap on a "home" slot when in the village and select your animal's home to begin building. As you rescue more animals of the same species, you will need to upgrade their home to house them all. To do this, tap on their home and select "Renovate."

As long as you have tokens, you can play right away. Otherwise, wait until the cooldown timer shown in the mini-game building runs out to get another token.

Tap on the corresponding building in the village after expanding your village for the first time. To get power-ups in the Scrat-alanche mini-game, find and rescue the corresponding animals (aardvark, rhino, bonycap).

Friends can be added from the Social menu by using the Friend Code feature, Google+ or Facebook. Friends who are already registered as playing the game on Google+ and/or Facebook will be added by default.

The "Later" icon appears when you cannot receive the full reward for that quest (for example, if the reward for that quest was Berries, but you already have the maximum amount). Tapping it will close the Quest Complete window and allow you to receive the rewards at a later time.

The blue icon indicates that Sid is heading towards the bridge. If he starts moving somewhere else, the icon will revert back to the green icon.

There are now 3 types of Berry and Shell packs: Berry Basket and Shell Stash fill 25% of your max Berry/Shell storage, Berry Buffet and Shell Burst fill half your storage, and Berry Bonanza and Shell Surge fill your storage completely .

There are 2 ways to play the Prizeberg: Play the Scrat-alanche mini-game or spend Play Tokens on the Prizeberg building.

The Prizeberg building can be unlocked after expanding at least twice in the game. You'll find the building floating in the ocean above the Ancient Scratues.

You can obtain Play Tokens from caves, snow mounds, daily rewards, gifts from friends, collection rewards, and the Prizeberg.

This is a progress bar that indicates how far you (the icon on the left) are from your friend (the icon on the right) in terms of distance. As you get closer to your friend, their icon will slowly move towards your icon, indicating that you are closing in. Once you have surpassed your friend's distance, their icon will disappear. If there is another friend to beat, their icon will then appear on the progress bar.

When the Sail icon has vines around it, it means that the obstacles on that island has respawned. This will allow you to obtain more Shells from them.

This harbor can be unlocked by expanding your snow environment until it connects with the mainland. This is where the Great Sea Turtle can be found when an event, such as Christmas, occurs.

The Great Sea Turtle appears only when you have reached the new harbor, just below the ship, and when there is an event active, such as Christmas. The Great Sea Turtle can sail you to special islands that are linked to the special event. However, once the event is over, the Great Sea Turtle will disappear and will only re-appear during another event.

There are a total of 4 special islands that appear during an event, and the Great Sea Turtle will sail you to one of them randomly. The compass that appears when you sail determines which of the 4 islands you will sail to.

You have to expand the second village to reach the Scrat Wonder called Mt. Scratmore. Repair the wonder and you will unlock the third village.

You need to finish watching the video to the very end in order to play the mini-game or the Prizeberg.

Animals can be found and rescued on islands. You need to sail the boat to an island and search for animals there. Once you've found an animal on an island, you need to tap on the golden paw icon and successfully complete the mini-game that follows (either Ice Locker or Sid's Rescue Runner) to rescue the animal.

There are 37 permanent species and 17 limited-time species. Each animal species includes two adults and two babies.

You can send your friend a random gift that can be 1 Play Token or 1 random item (you do not get to choose).

You will receive Shells from a gift if you can no longer accept any more Play Tokens and items (as there are limits to how many of them you can have).

New batches of quests become available whenever you complete additional archipelagos. New quests are also added with each update that brings in a new archipelago on the horizon map.

You can unlock and restore artifacts by collecting Scratlantean Blueprints.

To unlock the Tropical Artifact, you must have reached the Tropical environment and restored the Snow Artifact to level 3.

Scratlantean Blueprints can be found in Blue Clamshells, caves, by logging in multiple times a day, and from the debris found in the whirlpool.

To use Power Points, you must first earn them by forging items. While on Archipelagos, you need to tap the Power icon to turn it on, then tap on obstacles.

You must have unlocked the artifact that grants powers to the member of the herd that clears that type of obstacle.

The new building is a destroyed artifact. Restoring this artifact will grant you special powers.

The whirlpool is a mystery…!

The small objects around the whirlpool are pieces of debris. These can be tapped and provide small rewards.

The whirlpool will periodically spit out debris. Be sure to check every few hours for debris. After not collecting for a few days, there will be lots!

This is intended. You can refill your Power Points directly from archipelagos if you have run out of points.

Power Stones are what items are converted to when transmuting to create Power Points. These items can also be gained when you exceed the number of item points required to earn Power Points. Excess Power Stones can be directly applied towards item points required.

Each item has a value based on how rare it is. Items from Tropical and Volcanic areas are also worth more.

Time-Based Rewards give you the opportunity to earn rewards by logging in multiple times a day to check in. Checking in during all the designated times will earn you a reward.

This means you missed a login. This will only occur if you completed an earlier login session on time but then missed a later one.

If you have logged in and don’t see the check-in screen, it likely means that you missed an earlier required session and are not eligible for a reward.

In order to reach Scratlantis, you will need to open the passage through the whirlpool. You need to collect whirlpool debris and Scratlantean Blueprints from the archipelagos in order to successfully open the whirlpool. If you are not sure how many Blueprints you have, you can tap on the whirlpool to view how many you currently possess.

In order to unlock the Tropical Artifact and upgrade it to Stage 1, you must have reached the Tropical environment, upgraded the Snow Artifact to Stage 3 and collected enough Blueprints to restore the Tropical Artifact.

Residents can be found in two places. The first requires you to collect Scrat-Lanterns and explore the Hidden Oasis to find and lead Residents back out to rescue them. The second option is to use Acorns to throw coins into the fountain in Scratlantis, where you can get more Residents.

Pearls can be used in two places. The primary use of Pearls is to complete enhancements in the University. Doing so will increase the level of your Residents and allow them to become Artisans. Additionally, you can use Pearls in Weekly Event archipelagos to access special caves containing rare baby animals.

The entrances for the Hidden Oasis can only remain open for a limited amount of time. When that time is up, any progress made will be reset; upon entering again, a brand-new layout and obstacles, prizes and Residents can be found.

In order to find Scratlantean Manuscripts, you will need to search the Hidden Oasis and open Bronze Clamshells.

Each Scratlantean Resident has a set path. When you view your Residents in the University, they have an icon that tells you what their future holds. Scratlanteans with icons that show a profession are the only ones who can reach the Apprentice and Master stages. Residents without profession icons can only reach level 15.

In order to reduce your population, you will need to visit the University to enhance or rank up your Scratlanteans. Doing so will reduce your population count. Once this is done, you will be able to win and rescue more Scratlanteans.

Each obstacle you destroy will consume 1 action point. When you run out of action points, you will still be able to navigate the level; however, destroying any more obstacles will not be possible without purchasing more action points. In order to exit the level, you must tap the Return Home icon.

In order to successfully rescue a Scratlantean Resident, you must reach him but you also need to guide him back to the entrance you came in through.

The limited-time Scratlanteans are not always available, and can only be won at the fountain. You will know there is a special Scratlantean that can be rescued from the fountain when you see an exclamation mark above it. When you enter the fountain, you will be able to see which Scratlantean is available and for how long.

If you are in Scratlantis when the whirlpool closes, you can remain there and will not be kicked out. The next time you leave Scratlantis, you will once again be required to use Scratlantean Blueprints to reopen the whirlpool.

Please note that Nyctosaurus and Meiolas are considered premium animals in our game, and thus the chances of getting them are very slim.

To rank up a Scratlantean resident to become an Apprentice Chef, for example, you must have a resident who is predestined to become a Chef, meaning the resident must have a "pot" icon beside it. Note that Normal residents (who have a Scrat icon) cannot be ranked up to Apprentice.

You can level up a resident by combining it with other residents in the University using enhancement.

For the predestined resident the maximum level is level 15, after which they evolve to a level-16 Apprentice (gaining 4 stars). For the Apprentice, you have to level them up to level 24 before evolving them to a level-25 Master.

The stars on the residents represent their evolution, so as the resident reaches higher levels, you can pay Scratlantean Manuscripts to evolve them to reach more stars. To rank up a predestined resident to Apprentice, the resident must reach 4 stars. Therefore, all you need to do is keep leveling up and evolving the predestined resident to get an Apprentice.

Note that in-app purchases are designed to be completed only by tapping on them. Therefore, if you have tapped on an offer several times, that could result in several orders. After making a purchase, you should receive a purchase confirmation from your store (Google Play or Amazon). If you were charged several times and received confirmation of several purchases but ordered only once, please contact us using the Customer Care option in the game, providing the Gmail address that was used to make the purchase or a screenshot of your Amazon Purchase history where these purchases would be visible.

Please be advised that in order to download or update a Gameloft game, you need to be connected to Wi-Fi (not 3G/4G) and have twice as much available internal storage as the size of the game (e.g. if the game's size is 2 GB, you will need at least 4 GB free). This extra storage won't be used after the game is installed or updated, but it is necessary for proper download and performance. If the sound in your game has disappeared, this could be caused by several factors. We suggest that you do the following: 1. Make sure that you have the sound ON in your in-game settings; 2. If the sound is ON but the game is still silent, try quitting the game and restarting the device; 3. Check whether your device is muted; this will affect the game state as well; 4. Try plugging in and unplugging your headphones; 5. Try opening another application and see if the sound works there; if there is no sound there too, the problem could be with your device, not the game.

If you are experiencing any issues with controls (manual or gyroscope), first of all, please follow the below troubleshooting steps which usually help in such cases: 1. Make sure no one else is connected to your Wi-Fi network; 2. Make sure you are not running any streaming or P2P software on your Wi-Fi network; 3. Make sure the signal strength is at maximum; 4. If the problem persists, please shut down your device, restart your Wi-Fi router, restart your device, reconnect to Wi-Fi and try again. If the problem relates to the gyroscope and persists after performing the above steps, please try re-calibrating the accelerometer on your device inside the game settings. Some of our games also support external controllers. Please check specific game FAQs for more details.

Most Gameloft games provide an opportunity to synchronize your progress on several devices running the same operating system (i.e. you can transfer your progress between Android devices). There are also several games that provide an option to transfer progress from Android to iOS devices and vice versa (please see specific FAQs for each game to see if this option is present there). Please note that although you do have such an option, we strongly suggest that you play on one device at a time, as playing on both the new and old devices can generate progress conflicts. If your progress was reset after resetting the device / updating the game / reinstalling the game, or if you have bought a new device, you have an option for recovering your old account. All you need to do is to log into the account (Facebook / Google+ / Gameloft LIVE!) you previously used in the game. Normally, you should be able to log into your Facebook or Google+ account through the game's settings. If the game does not provide an option to log in with any social network, that could be caused by the age you have entered on the Age Confirmation screen. We were requested to introduce the Age Confirmation screen as a part of new regulations in several countries. Please be advised that the changes mentioned above involve removing all social network connections and other features that might disclose players' real names or other personal information. These regulations have been set up to protect children from unwanted social interactions. If you are unable to connect to your account due to a specific error or if the account just loads but nothing happens, we suggest that you try the following troubleshooting steps that usually resolve such issues: 1. Turn off your device and Wi-Fi router for a minute or two; 2. Turn them back on and check whether the application is working properly; 3. Make sure your Wi-Fi network is password-protected so no one else is using it and lowering your bandwidth; 4. Make sure you do not have any streaming or P2P software running on your Wi-Fi network; 5. Log in with Google+/Facebook through the app via the game's settings.

If you have noticed that a certain amount of your in-game currency is missing, this means that it has been somehow spent during gameplay. In most cases, it’s because another person has used it (possibly a friend or family member). This is also likely if you've loaded your account onto someone else's device and forgot to log out. They could be playing on your account without you knowing. Please be advised that the game never uses in-game resources on its own; all the actions (including purchases with in-game currency) are always triggered by the player. Accidental purchases are a possibility, too. In order to prevent such problems from happening, please do not forget to lock your screen after playing. Moreover, if you have loaded your account onto someone else's device, remember to log out when you're done. Since we cannot cancel the player's actions on our side (i.e. revert the progress that was reached as result of accidental purchase or take back items bought by accident), we cannot offer refunds for accidental in-game purchases as this would be unfair to other players who earned the same item or upgrade with their own resources and effort.

Please note that the rewards are always sent only after the event has ended, according to your final leaderboard position. Make sure that the event is not ongoing at the moment, check the announced prizes, and refresh the page with the leaderboard. Sometimes winners change within a minute, so you need to be well connected in order to see the most up-to-date information.

Kindly note that there is a limited number of Free Cash videos that can be watched per day. Once you have exceeded the limit, you won't get the rewards for further views. Please also note that they may not be available every day. It depends on the campaign held for your platform in your specific country. Moreover, there are many other factors at play as well.

Please note that items never disappear by themselves, and the game never performs any item interactions on the player's behalf. If you have noticed that you are missing an item, check if it was used when creating other items. It is also possible that you (or some of your friends / family members) have deleted it or sold it by accident. In order to prevent such problems from happening, please do not forget to lock your screen after playing and remember to log out if you have loaded your account onto someone else's device. There are also situations where the game crashes or freezes when you are just about to loot/win a cool item. The game mechanics are designed in such a way that items are considered yours only if you were lucky enough to pick them up. In order to prevent such issues, please make sure that you have a stable Internet connection.

If you want to enable/disable notifications on your Android device, please go to Settings > Apps, choose the game from the list of all your apps and enable/disable the "Show notifications" option.

If your account has been banned, this means that our systems have detected abnormal activity in your account. Specific prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: 1) Using cheats, exploits, automation software, bots, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized software designed to modify or interfere with the Services; 2) Using the account, username, or password of another account holder at any time or disclosing your password to any third party or permitting any third party to access your Account; 3) Sublicense, rent, lease, sell, trade, gift, bequeath or otherwise transfer your account or any Virtual Items associated with your account to anyone; 4) Access or use a third-party account or any Virtual Items that have been sublicensed, rented, leased, sold, traded, gifted, bequeathed, or otherwise transferred from the holder or the original account creator; 5) Utilize multiple accounts, manual procedures, bots, scripts or other processes in order to accumulate or "farm" Virtual Items; 6) Use the Services in a commercial manner, including the transferring of Virtual Items in exchange for "real world" money. Your account could be also banned temporarily for a fixed term. This term should be indicated in the ban message that you receive upon launching the game.

If you are typing a message in the in-game chat but it is not sent or remains invisible, it is very likely that your account has been muted in the chat. This could happen if you have been showing unacceptable disrespectful behavior towards our community. We do not tolerate abusive chat behavior or any other such behavior, and want to provide a clean and fair experience for all customers.

We are taking all possible measures to prevent players from using hacks and cheating: Our technical department thoroughly checks the accounts of suspicious players. Still, every now and then, misunderstandings and disputes with other players may arise. Some of our games have "Report" icons that appear when you tap on a player's nickname or avatar. These can be used to report users if they: 1. Cheat (use hacks, exploits or any kind of cheats); 2. Show abusive behavior (behavior you consider offensive or aggressive); 3. Engage in suspicious activities. To see if this option is available in your game, please check specific game FAQs.

Please note that the last archipelago for the current version of the game is Cinder Springs. There are no more archipelagos after it.

Unfortunately, this feature was not implemented in the game, but you still have enough space to place all the Scratlantis residents. You have the possibility to build 3 habitats.

The Artifact you need is situated on the volcanic village. Enter it by tapping on Fill, then tap Refill Power Points and throw into the vent the required number of objects (Spoons, Pirate Patches, Blue Conches, etc.). Once the Volcano is full of items, the game will offer you the chance to Forge items. Your Power Points will be restored. If you don't have enough items, you can use acorns. Then you need to sail to any island and use Manny's power there. As a reminder, Manny's power is aimed at the destruction of stones.

Please note that you should free Mt. Scratmore from the ice first in order to be able to unlock the volcanic village. Mt. Scratmore is located below your tropical village. To be able to free it, you need to collect at least 45 blueprints. All the blueprints that you should have collected on your way to the new area can be found in golden clamshells.

These are your friends that also play IAA. You can see their current location on the horizon.

Please note that the possibility for an animal to be drawn in the cave lottery is supposed to decrease as you progress in the game. Kindly also note that it may take up to 100 or even more spins for an animal to be available to rescue.

Please note that Acorns can be bought with real money, found in snow and leaf piles, won in the Events and mini-games, and earned in the cave lotteries.

These animals are unique and can be rescued during the Great Sea Turtle limited-time Event or bought during promotions.
